DEFINITIONS

  • KVKK: The Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698.
  • Data Controller: Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt.
  • Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person/employee, including, but not limited to, identity, address, phone number, email, identity number, driver’s license number, passport number, etc., stored in a personal file.
  • Sensitive Personal Data: Any information regarding a person’s/employee’s race, ethnic origin, political opinions, philosophical beliefs, religion, sect or other beliefs, clothing, association, foundation, or union membership, health, sexual life, criminal record, security measures, as well as biometric and genetic data, etc.

Protection of Personal Data Under the KVKK No. 6698, any information that can identify or make an individual identifiable is considered personal data. We aim to inform you about the purposes of processing your personal data held by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt, the legal grounds, collection methods, the persons to whom and the purposes for which your data may be transferred, and your rights under the KVKK, whether or not they are connected to the aforementioned.

1. Methods for Collecting Personal Data As a data controller, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt, within the scope of our legal obligations arising from the KVKK and other related legislation, collects your personal data, including sensitive personal data, through various methods such as the website, mobile applications, switchboard, call center, commercial areas within security/consultation offices, social media channels, direct or authorized communication channels, and physical channels, among others. These data are collected via verbal, written, or electronic methods based on your explicit consent, as well as under the relevant legislation, contracts, requests, commercial practices, and principles of good faith, with the purpose of providing you with quality service through these channels and conducting our business and commercial activities within this framework.

Your personal data may be collected in writing or electronically by individuals or legal entities processing data on behalf of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt. This includes, but is not limited to, forms you fill out electronically or physically, social networks that enable you to log in to our websites or third-party websites during membership or sign-in, contact forms you fill out to communicate with us, cookies used to recognize you, our mobile applications, various contracts signed with our company, emails, faxes, letters you send, notifications and/or documents related to valuable papers, and all written and visual notifications of similar nature.

2. Processing of Personal Data and Purposes of Processing As Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt, we may partially or fully obtain, record, store, retain, modify, update, periodically check, reorganize, classify, retain for the period necessary for the purposes for which they are processed or as stipulated by the relevant law, and share or transfer to the third parties mentioned below, including group companies, affiliates, or partner companies, the personal and/or sensitive personal data we collect with your explicit consent through our switchboard, written communication channels, social media pages, mobile communication channels, security/consultation offices, and any other communication channels. We may transfer such data within Turkey or abroad, in compliance with legal or service-related requirements.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt may process your personal data in accordance with the KVKK No. 6698 and relevant legislation, with the purpose of enabling customers to benefit from our services, informing you about our campaigns with your consent, recording your suggestions and complaints, better understanding your needs to provide services, conducting sales, marketing, advertising, and promotional activities, conducting analyses and profiling for sales and marketing activities, and improving service standards, as well as determining and implementing the commercial and business strategies of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt.

3. Transfer of Personal Data Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt may transfer your personal data only based on your explicit consent or in compliance with the security and confidentiality principles set forth in the Law No. 6698 and relevant legislation, taking necessary precautions, to third parties in Turkey or abroad, for the purposes of conducting company activities, establishing business relationships between data subjects and our customers and/or conducting related negotiations, offering services, opportunities, and facilities, and enhancing service quality. This includes group companies, business partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, business connections, and stakeholders, as well as physical or virtual servers located in Turkey or abroad, and the firms providing such server support, along with third-party companies providing customer satisfaction measurement and profiling support, and sales and marketing support, our contracted customers, suppliers, audit firms, and other public institutions or organizations authorized to request such data as required by law.

4. Rights of the Personal Data Owner under Article 11 of the KVKK Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt will respond to the following requests from relevant individuals:

  • To learn whether Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bozkurt processes their personal data and to know which personal data is processed,
  • To obtain information regarding the purposes of the processing activity,
  • To learn about the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom personal data is transferred,
  • To request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data if any personal data is processed incompletely or incorrectly,
  • To request the deletion or destruction of personal data in accordance with the Law,
  • To request notification of the actions taken to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred, in case of correction, deletion, or destruction of personal data,
  • To object to any outcome that may arise against the person through the exclusive analysis of processed data by automated systems, and
  • To request a copy of their personal data.
